“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18, ESV)

Ministry to Women at Calvary serves to cultivate a community of women growing in Christ-likeness, while loving God and loving others. Scripture tells us we exist to bring glory to God as we share the hope of Jesus with others in order “to present everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28) – and that includes you! If you are a woman at Calvary, you are a part of Ministry to Women and we want to see you growing in Christ—as fully devoted followers of Christ.

Join us at one of our Ministry to Women initiatives this year. And be sure to download a Ministry to Women resource entitled a One-to-One Bible Reading to help equip you and those in your influence.

We are praying for you.

Women's Bible Study - Tuesday morning

Tuesday morning Bible Studies is a large group of women who meet in the lower auditorium from 9:30 to 11 am most Tuesdays from mid September till the first Tuesday in May. A team of 10-12 women meet together to prayerfully plan for the administration of our vision and goals throughout the year, as well as set our annual theme.

Nursery is provided for the newborn to Senior Kindergarten children of those ladies attending studies. We have permanent paid staff that provide for consistency of care and routine that are assisted by each study group taking a turn at helping out. There is currently no fee for this nursery service.

The morning starts out with fellowship, coffee, snacks and announcements and then the ladies separate into different study groups held in various rooms throughout the church (from 11 to 15 different study groups, composed of 12 – 20 ladies each).

Tuesday open session events are held 3 times a year, as well as a Missions Conference Tuesday. Each study group will also plan for one or more “care and share” day(s) throughout the year.

The activities of this ministry are partially funded by Calvary and partially funded through a suggested weekly “twoonie" offering. Study books may be ordered for you, if payment is made in advance of ordering.

Women's Bible Study - Thursday evening

Several (generally 2-4) study groups meet in various classrooms throughout the church from 7 pm till 8:30 pm most Thursdays from September till the first week in May. Although these studies were originally intended to provide a bible study opportunity for women who worked during the day time, women from all life and career groups are welcome, and do attend!

book club

From early May, (after Bible Studies have ended), Thursday evening has a Women’s Bible Study Book Club that is held from 7 pm till 8:30 pm for those who would like to continue to meet together till the end of June. All women are welcome.

Women's Prayer Group

Monday Morning Prayer

Meeting all year round in the Youth Room every Monday that the church office is open, this group of praying women gather to pray for our church, our community, the revival of the hearts of God’s people and the personal requests from our women! We open in worship together, and then break out into groups of 3 to pray using the A.C.T.S. approach to prayer (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication). Please accept this as our personal invitation to come and pray with us for all that God is doing in us and around us!

Prayer requests are received in prayer boxes not only as we meet together on Monday mornings, but also from prayer boxes offered at our Tuesday morning Bible Studies. Requests are prayed over for one month.

Women's Mission Circle

WMCO presents a thrilling opportunity to hear how God is working around the world. We answer God’s call for mission involvement by praying for those serving Him globally. We rejoice in hearing first-hand testimony of those in foreign fields sharing the Gospel and seeing souls surrendering to Christ.

Together, we celebrate all that God is doing on behalf of our Calvary missionaries and other ministry outreaches. Our focus is prayer, as we lift up each family and organization, believing that we “are helping by praying” and that “many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers” (2 Corinthians 1:11).

All ladies are welcome to join in this vital ministry opportunity. Come and celebrate with us!
