Tell us, how majestic is your name O Lord

Psalms 8:1-9

Full Service

In a human rights crazy time, our place in the world starts by gazing at the grandeur and greatness of our Ruler Lord… Psalm 8

1. Our Lord is so dominant and majestic that he defeats those who oppose him by the praise of little children. (2)

2. When you consider the magnitude of his creation, it is completely bewildering that he would want to hang around with us.

The God who finger-painted the universe, did so as a planned home for his family. Is. 45:18

You’re on his mind

You’re a concern of his

You have rank

You have a role

Absurd audacity – That most people would reject his offer of friendship.

3. Our Lord is the God whose glory/majesty fills the earth and is set above the heavens (cf. Is 6:3) and gives to man the only right that really matters – the right to become children of God (Jn 1:12)
