Is Jesus Christ your all-sufficient lifeline or do you regularly function as if He is not?

3 reminders of what you have if living in Christ Jesus as LORD...

1. Secure the secure salvation you have received in the all-sufficient Christ (2:6-7).

Live in Christ!!
- Rooted-grow deep
- Built up in Him-grow up
- Strengthened in the faith-grow out

AND
Overflowing in thankfulness

2. Benefit from what having as much of God as is possible means when your mind is under attack (2:8-10).

You already have all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Christ!!
- Human tradition
- The elementary things of this world
- Hollow philosophy not according to Christ

3. Choose to live free of harmful powers that formerly held your physical desires captive (2:11-15).

You have already been made alive to real freedom in Christ!!
- You are no longer alive to sin—it has been circumcised at the cross by God
- You are no longer able to be manipulated by guilt—your debt was cancelled entirely at the cross by God
- You are no longer threatened by harmful powers—they were all disarmed and made a public spectacle of at the cross by God
