Elijah & Elisha: Daring Dudes in Dark Days
God at War for Us & Against Us for Us
2 Kings 6:1-23
Sin brings suffering to God’s people, personally and collaterally. Obedience brings blessing, personally and collaterally. Regardless, our covenant relationship with God remains intact.
In a time of distress, threats and falling away from the faith, it’s not what you feel about God that counts, but rather what you know about God that makes all the difference.
Four things for you to know about God...so your heart is in shape to pass the test...
1. God is merciful.
Mercy is the distinctive mark of Christianity
2. God sees.
Ask for vision, not just eyesight
3. God has given us his certain word.
Emotional comfort and accurate action come from the certainty of knowing truth and not the other way around.
4. God has already won the victory.
Fight for a victory already won.
