    With the really nice weather we have been having lately, how many of us have been sorting through our summer wardrobe from last year, only to find that everything has shrunk over the winter. This seems to happen every year…especially with Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day…etc…etc. taking place after these clothes were put away. Our long cold winters are more conducive to staying inside in front of the warm fireplace, when we should be keeping active and continuing our exercise regimens. Here are a few simple exercises to get your dormant muscles moving and to help “stretch” your clothes back to their correct size. GLUTE & AB BLAST 1. Step out to Front Lunges – alternate right & left right side repeat (8-10 X) alternates left side repeat alternates 2. Step out into Side Lunges – alternate right & left –leg lifts on return 3. Front & Side Lunge Combos – right front – center – side – center – left front – center – side - center 4. Squats – similar move to sitting into a chair --- USE AB MUSCLES – push rear end out – knees ahead of toes – back straight – TRIPLE FLEXION ( bend at hips-knees-Ankles) 5. Combine All Movements -squat -front lunge -center squat – side (opt. squat) with leg lifts on return - repeat on alternate side 6. Pelvic Tilts – Lay on Back – Feet Flat on Floor – Knees Bent lift hips only (not lower back) 7. Crunches – lift shoulders off floor (pretend to have an orange under your chin) 8.Torso Curls – Combine both exercises Cross One Ankle Over Opposite Knee 9. Pelvic Tilt 10. Add Torso Curl 11.
